Command Sergeant Major Frederick Crausewell

Command Sergeant Majors of Health Services Command (HSC)/MEDCOM

CSM Frederick Crausewell served from July 1973 to September 1974 as the second Command Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army Health Services Command (Provisional) and the first to serve as the Command Sergeant Major of the Health Services Command when it was fully organized in July 1973.

During his 23 years of military service, his assignments included tours in Germany, Korea and Vietnam. His CONUS assignments include serving as the Command Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army Medical Department Activities at Fort Huachucha, Arizona, Fort Rucker, Alabama and the Academy Brigade, Academy of Health Sciences, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Command Sergeant Major Frederick Crauswell was the second individual to serve as the Command Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army Health Services Command (Provisional) and the first to serve when the U.S. Army Health Services Command was fully activated at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Command Sergeant Major Crauswell's awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Korean Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal.
